Baku-Ceyhan pipeline's capacity currently making up 875,000 barrels per day
02 April 2008 - Today.Az – Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline will pump 1,000,000 barrels of oil daily by the end of 2008, BTC Turkish manager Jan Sufi said, Day.Az reports with reference to Reuters. He said, the pipeline currently transports 875,000 barrels of oil. "By the end of this year we will pass to the full capacity of the pipeline -1,000,000 barrels", he said. It should be noted that this will make up nearly 50,000,000 tons per year. In period of maximal activeness the Ceyhan terminal will ship 1-2 tankers daily. All workds on raising the pipeline capacity up to 1,200,000 barrels of oil daily, which will require less than $100,000,000, will complete in 2008. "There is a plan to raise the capacity of the pipeline up to 1,600,000 barrels of oil daily in 2010-2012", Jan Sufi said.
